Our client, one of the Top 100 accounting and business consulting firms in the United States is seeking an Audit Supervisor to join their team in either their Boston, MA or Providence, RI office.


As a Supervisor on the Audit Team, you will utilize your educational background and organizational skills as you work closely with colleagues on a variety of assignments for clients of the Firm. Audit engagements span many industries including: manufacturing, distribution, technology, life sciences, retail, hospitality, real estate, healthcare and non-profit.


Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute complex audit engagements across multiple industries, with primary focus on for-profit and non-profit clients in manufacturing, healthcare, technology, and real estate sectors
  • Develop comprehensive audit strategies and risk assessments for each engagement, including identifying key audit areas and determining appropriate testing approaches
  • Manage engagement budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and within established parameters
  • Coordinate with engagement managers and partners to finalize audit findings and recommendations
  • Perform detailed reviews of staff work papers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable professional standards (GAAP, GAAS) and firm methodologies
  • Draft and review financial statements, footnotes, and audit reports with attention to technical accuracy and client-specific requirements
  • Identify and document internal control deficiencies and develop practical recommendations for improvement
  • Lead client meetings to discuss audit progress, findings, and resolutions to identified issues
  • Provide regular performance feedback and technical guidance to junior team members throughout engagements
  • Develop staff through formal and informal coaching, reviewing work products, and providing growth opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent, professional communication and exceptional service
  • Stay current on relevant accounting and auditing standards, industry trends, and regulatory requirements


Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Master's degree preferred
  • CPA or CPA Track
  • 3+ years recent experience in public accounting and working with PE/VC firms and their portfolio companies
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proficiency in use of computers and computer accounting and other software programs
