Position Summary
They are seeking an experienced, CPA licensed Audit Manager to join their growing team. In this role, you will lead multiple engagement teams, oversee audit processes, mentor staff, and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring compliance with professional standards and firm methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and finalize audit engagements for clients across various industries while adhering to AICPA, PCAOB, and other relevant professional standards
- Supervise and mentor audit staff and seniors, providing constructive feedback and fostering professional development
- Review audit work papers, financial statements, and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards
- Identify and communicate financial, operational, and compliance risks to clients and propose practical solutions
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service and addressing concerns promptly
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging accounting and auditing standards
- Contribute to the firm's growth by identifying additional service opportunities with existing clients
- Collaborate with partners to develop audit strategies and methodologies that enhance efficiency and quality
Qualifications
- Active CPA license in New Jersey (or ability to obtain NJ reciprocity)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 5-8 years of public accounting experience with at least 2 years at the senior or manager level
- Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and other relevant professional standards
- Experience with audit software and tools (e.g., CaseWare, CCH Engagement)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities
- Experience serving clients in multiple industries; specialization in financial services, healthcare, or nonprofit sectors is a plus
Location & Schedule
- Based in our Ocean Township, New Jersey office
- Hybrid work arrangement available
- Seasonal overtime during peak audit periods (January-April)
- Occasional travel to client sites within the region
