Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Audit Supervisor with a CPA license to join our growing firm in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in external audits, particularly in the non-profit sector, and will lead engagement teams while maintaining excellent client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise multiple audit engagements simultaneously, with a focus on non-profit organizations
- Manage, mentor, and develop staff auditors and seniors, providing regular feedback and guidance
- Review work papers, financial statements, and audit reports to ensure compliance with professional standards and firm policies
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services
- Coordinate with partners and managers on engagement planning, execution, and completion
- Identify and resolve complex accounting and auditing issues
- Contribute to the firm's quality control processes and risk management procedures
- Participate in business development activities and proposal preparation
Required Qualifications
- Active CPA license
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of public accounting experience, with at least 2 years at the senior level
- Demonstrated experience leading external audit engagements for non-profit organizations
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and Uniform Guidance requirements
- Excellent project management and time management skills
- Superior written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven leadership and team management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience with accounting software and audit tools
- Knowledge of tax-exempt organization reporting requirements
- Experience with Form 990 preparation
- Member of AICPA and Georgia Society of CPAs
