Role Overview:
The Private Tax Assistant Manager will support the Private Tax team in delivering high-quality tax advisory and compliance services. This role involves significant client interaction and offers the opportunity to develop leadership skills while collaborating with senior professionals in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Support: Assist in managing a portfolio of high net-worth individuals, families, and trusts, providing timely and accurate responses to tax-related queries.

  • Tax Advisory: Support in delivering tailored tax planning and advisory services, encompassing inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and income tax optimisation.

  • Compliance Management: Aid in the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring compliance with UK tax laws and deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior team members to mentor and train junior staff, enhancing their technical knowledge and professional development.

  • Research and Analysis: Stay informed about tax legislation changes and industry developments, assisting in the implementation of best practices within the team.

  • Business Development: Contribute to identifying opportunities for new business and support marketing initiatives aimed at expanding the Private Tax client base.

Requirements:

  • ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified or equivalent, or actively pursuing qualifications.
  • Relevant experience in private client tax advisory or compliance within a reputable accountancy firm.
  • Solid understanding of UK tax legislation, particularly concerning high net-worth individuals and family trusts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple priorities.
