Position Overview


Our client is seeking a qualified candidate to join their growing regional CPA firm as an Audit Manager, where you'll lead complex engagements while mentoring the next generation of accounting professionals. With offices in Cherry Hills, NJ and Newtown, PA, they offer the perfect blend of sophisticated client work and work-life integration.



Core Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple audit engagements simultaneously, managing teams of 3-8 professionals
  • Direct planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements across diverse industries including manufacturing, professional services, and non-profit organizations
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact
  • Review work papers, financial statements, and management letters to ensure highest quality standards
  • Coach and mentor staff and senior accountants, providing regular feedback and guidance
  • Collaborate with partners on business development initiatives and proposal preparation
  • Identify and communicate technical updates to both team members and clients
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation


Technical Requirements

  • Active CPA license required
  • 5-8 years of public accounting experience, with at least 2 years at the senior level
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and industry-specific accounting principles
  • Proficiency in audit methodology and risk assessment procedures
  • Experience with audit software (CCH ProSystem, Engagement, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and testing procedures
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Qualifications

  • Active CPA license in New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania
  • Public accounting experience with regional or national firm
  • Industry experience in manufacturing, professional services, or non-profit sectors preferred
