Position Overview
Our client is seeking a qualified candidate to join their growing regional CPA firm as an Audit Manager, where you'll lead complex engagements while mentoring the next generation of accounting professionals. Core Responsibilities
- Lead multiple audit engagements simultaneously, managing teams of 3-8 professionals
- Direct planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements across diverse industries including manufacturing, professional services, and non-profit organizations
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact
- Review work papers, financial statements, and management letters to ensure highest quality standards
- Coach and mentor staff and senior accountants, providing regular feedback and guidance
- Collaborate with partners on business development initiatives and proposal preparation
- Identify and communicate technical updates to both team members and clients
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
Technical Requirements
- Active CPA license required
- 5-8 years of public accounting experience, with at least 2 years at the senior level
- Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and industry-specific accounting principles
- Proficiency in audit methodology and risk assessment procedures
- Experience with audit software (CCH ProSystem, Engagement, etc.)
- Strong understanding of internal controls and testing procedures
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
