Position Overview:
My client are seeking an Associate Attorney with 2 to 5 years of experience in business, commercial, and/or financial services litigation. The successful candidate will play a key role in their litigation team, handling a variety of challenging and impactful cases. This position offers immediate client-facing responsibilities, court appearances, and case management ownership, providing a unique opportunity to grow and excel in your legal career.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in complex business, commercial, and financial services litigation matters.
Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and client advice.
Manage case files, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members.
Attend court hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop case strategies and deliver exceptional client service.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing (admission to the New Jersey Bar or other jurisdictions is a plus).
2 to 5 years of relevant litigation experience, preferably in business, commercial, or financial services litigation.
Superior research, writing, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
