I have an exciting opportunity for a Tax Senior for my client's Northampton office. This will involve a corporate tax role - you will be working closely with the tax team, clients and internal teams and you will manage the corporate tax affairs of a portfolio of clients and to provide tax support to the accounts team. This would be perfect for an individual with the initiative to develop their career and provide a first class service to clients in both compliance and advisory areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Assuming responsibility for a portfolio of corporate clients and controlling the management and completion of work arising from these clients.
Organising workload to ensure an efficient and timely service is provided to clients.
Liaising with the accounts team to obtain necessary information and to meet any required deadlines.
Liaising with HM Revenue and Customs and clients.

About You:

I am looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

At least 3 year's relevant tax experience in an accountancy practice
Qualified ATT/CTA/ACCA/ACA
Excellent client relationship skills and the ability to nurture existing clients as well as the ability to help develop new business and demonstrate technical breadth
Ability to explain complex tax issues in plain English for all levels of understanding
Technical proficiency and good IT skills specifically intermediate Excel - previous experience of Alpha Tax is an advantage
Ambitious and committed attitude
Have a flexible attitude to meet the ever-changing needs of the business
As the role may require you to travel to client premises it is vital you hold a current driving licence and have your own transport.
